Dr. Kirk Hearne
Dr. Kirk Hearne is originally from North Vernon, Indiana, and graduated from Jennings County High School in 1986. His undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Indianapolis. He attended Indiana University receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1995.
Dr. Hearne is a member of the AOA and IOA. He is active in the community, service clubs and a member at Second United Methodist in North Vernon. He began practice in North Vernon in August 1995. Dr. Hearne resides in North Vernon with his wife Kathy. His son Lawson now works and lives in Indianapolis, and is our website admin.
Chandra – Office Manager / Exam Technician
Chandra grew up in Seymour, IN. She graduated from Indiana University receiving an Associates Degree in Optometric Technology & Opticianry in 1995. She is an AOA-certified technician and an ABO-certified optician. She has been Dr. Hearne’s technician for over 25+ years as well as coordinator for cataract/refractive surgery and low vision services. She enjoys cooking, dancing, motorcycling, camping, and spending time with friends and family. She resides in Seymour with her nephew, Kelan.
Kristy – Optical Consultant
Kristy joined our staff in August of 2017. She has been a stay-at-home mother to her two sons for the past five years. Kristy previously worked for Dr. Coers in Columbus, Indiana. She comes to us with 12 years of experience in the optical field. She enjoys her boys’ sporting events, attending Graham Baptist Church, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
Kristy is now one of our American Board of Opticianry Certified Opticians.
Adriane – Optical Consultant
Adriane joined our staff in August 2019 as a patient care coordinator. She is a South Ripley graduate and also has a Cosmetology and Esthetician license. Adriane had 12 years of retail experience prior to joining us at HVC. She enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family and friends. She is a member of Zenas Baptist Church. Adriane is excited to further her career at Hearne Vision Care as an optician.
Adriane is now one of our American Board of Opticianry Certified Opticians.
Amber – Insurance / Billing Specialist
Amber graduated from Jennings County High School in 2002 and then from Indiana Business College in 2005 with a degree in Applied Science and Health Information Management/Billing/Coding. Amber furthered her career in medical coding by becoming a Certified Physician Coder with the AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coder). She started her career in the Optometry field and worked for a large practice as a technician/optician and billing for 7 years. After that Amber found herself working for Kings Daughters’ Hospital as a certified medical coder for 7 years before starting here at Hearne Vision Care. Amber is married and has a son. They all enjoy spending their time traveling, taking cruises and being outside. Watching her son play baseball and soccer is an all time favorite too. The whole family loves music and concerts. Spending quality time together is a must.
Cheyenne – Patient Experience Director
Cheyenne is a 2017 midterm graduate of Jennings County High School. She leaves four years of pharmacy service and patient care. As a nationally, clinically, and state-certified pharmacy technician, Cheyenne found her home taking care of people in need. Originally from Maryland, her family relocated to Indiana in 2002 where she has been ever since. She enjoys music, mainly collecting records and antique players. Her core values align well with the office, as she believes strongly that kindness goes a long way. She also lives in North Vernon.
